Ricoh implemented this vision by combining technology, engineering and manufacture quality. The ricoh printers revolutionized the way in which businesses functioned.
Designing the ‘face’ of an industry giant that describes itself in such a way is clearly a very challenging task. Using the principle of factory processes of high precision manufacture was one of the main factors that shaped the interior of this showroom. Here we see right angles and straight lines which except for stability and confidence, they represent high technology. With the large glass surfaces and the massive forms that give the impression that the whole weight of the building rests on them. The color palette that was used here is very limited and carefully chosen to achieve specific atmospheres, in particular places. The managers office is physically separated so that the investors that visit the showroom, have a different perspective about the work of the company.
